Second child syndrome?

I have always marveled at how my brother seemed to get (and still gets! :) whatever he wanted from my mom. I am the oldest, and this brother is second. I am afraid that Ben is following in his uncle's footsteps. What is it with the second born? Is it because Lou doesn't ask for things like Ben does (incessantly!!)? I know there have been multiple times that I was just tired of Benny pleading with me over something that I finally gave in to him. Maybe now that I've identified the problem I can figure out how to do something about it. But I doubt his pleading will end! I will get ear plugs.
